Herfurth Logistics welcomes 2 giant pandas in Brussels



On Sunday February 23rd 2014, 12h00 two giant pandas will arrive directly from China to Brussels Airport.

Haohao, a charming young lady accompanied by Xinghui a dashing young man, both aged 4, will be imported to Belgium in view of a reproduction program initiated at the luxuriant PAIRI DAIZA animal garden in the southern part of the country.

The confidence placed by the Republic of China in a partnership with the PAIRI DAIZA Park is the recognition for the quality and competence in animal conservation, reproduction and public presentation that Belgium can offer.

HERFURTH LOGISTICS is a yearlong partner of the PAIRI DAIZA park and as recognized specialists in the handling of live animals (see previous articles), it is particularly proud to take a part in the delicate import operation of the 2 high-value animals.

With its specialized team, HERFURTH LOGISTICS will have the responsibility to coordinate with the appointed Transport & Logistics operator, the customs authorities and the Federal Agency for the Safety of the Food Chain (FASFC-FAVV-AFSCA)  upon arrival of the Pandas at the airport.

This spectacular event will most probably appear widely in the media and will be honored by the presence of numerous authorities, including H.E. the Ambassador of China and the Prime Minister of Belgium Mr. Elio Di Rupo.
